Cafeyn and Blendle Awards are here
For the 3rd year running, Cafeyn Group is honoring the work of journalists and press publishers for their service in providing quality and diversified information at the 2023 Awards. This annual ceremony, which takes place in France and the Netherlands, rewards the newspapers, magazines and journalists that have captured the hearts of its users throughout the year.
Following the success of previous editions, Cafeyn Group is once again organizing its 2023 Awards in France and the Netherlands as an opportunity to celebrate the work of journalists and the media. In the current climate of growing mistrust of the media, it is more important than ever to value quality information that is produced in all its diversity. Our daily mission of providing access to information, rewarded by the growing commitment of our users, is designed to meet this challenge.
The event will take place online from 27 November to 22 December in France and from 1 to 17 December in the Netherlands. Based on the reading data from Cafeyn and Blendle users, the various awards will highlight the most consulted newspapers, magazines and journalists of the year.
In France, the 2023 Cafeyn Awards will be presented at a special press and information event on Wednesday 31 January 2024 in Paris. This event will be co-organised with the CREATIS cultural incubator and will be open to the public.
Cafeyn will be awarding prizes to the platform's partner publishers in the following six categories:
- Culture Article of the year
- Sports Article of the Year
- Lifestyle Article of the Year
- Politics Article of the Year
- Cover of the Year Award
- The Press Grand Prize
In the Netherlands, Blendle will be awarding prizes in the following five categories:
- Best Reportage of the Year
- Best Magazine of the Year
- Best Interview of the year
- Best Opinion piece of the year
- Best Journalist of the Year
French readers will also have their say: from among the five finalists in each category, users will have the opportunity to vote for the winners. Voting will take place on the Cafeyn app via email and through social networks. As for the Blendle Awards, they will be based solely on the platform's consumption data.
The nominees and winners in each category will be announced on the Cafeyn and Blendle app and on social networks.
"At Cafeyn, we are committed to highlighting the exceptional work that journalists and publishers do every day. We want our users to benefit from the quality and diversity of information that is needed more than ever in our society. The Cafeyn Awards are a way of highlighting and celebrating the talent of our partner publishers," says Laurent Kayser, CEO of the Cafeyn Group.
